Mr. Whitworth received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University California, Davis, in 1989. A lifelong sports fan, he was the head basketball coach and golf coach at Holy Names University from 1996 to 2003, accruing over 130 wins in 7 years and earning Coach of the Year honors in 1999 and 2001. Following his successful coaching career, Mr. Whitworth switched gears and pursued his legal studies at New College of California School of Law in San Francisco, earning his Juris Doctor in 2006. He served as a contracts administrator at Stanford University School of Medicine handling intellectual property agreements before going into private practice in June 2007.
Admitted to practice in California, Mr. Whitworth has taken more than 70 trials to jury verdict. He is also held in high esteem by his fellow professionals.
